Visa Latin America
Miami, FL
Sharpe Project Developments completed the 167,000 SF headquarters for Visa in 1996. The $30MM facility includes redundant power, mechanical, and security systems, a 10,000 SF data center, a commercial kitchen, and an employee cafeteria. It has served as Visa’s Latin American headquarters in Miami, Florida, for over 20 years.
We initially planned for two 167,000 SF office buildings with structured parking but recommended Visa develop one building with on-grade parking to meet their forecasted space needs. This decision allowed for potential future expansion and saved the client over $40MM.
Our responsibilities included site selection, due diligence, entitlement, project design, budget, and schedule management. We competitively bid and negotiated contracts, procured all furniture, fixtures, and equipment, and acted as the liaison with the Waterford at Blue Lagoon business park association. Additionally, we relocated over 300 employees from three locations to the new headquarters and decommissioned the previously leased spaces.
