Sharpe Project Developments completed the renovation of a 15,000 SF restaurant, bar, and hotel lobby for Ocean Reef Club in October 2021. The project consisted of a complete demolition of the existing space, structural improvements, and a new layout.

Initially, the program called for simple interior renovation. However, significant structural damage was uncovered during the demolition phase, including damage to the foundation, load-bearing walls, and roof system. At this point, our team engaged a structural engineer to correct the issues. Meanwhile, we worked with the design team to revise the schedule and implement a phased delivery to complete the most critical areas of the building first.

The design team was led by Peacock + Lewis, who served as the project’s architect, HBA as the interior designer, and Woolems as the contractor. Although the client engaged our team after the original program was complete and demolition began, we worked swiftly and efficiently to minimize budgetary overages and delivery delays.
