The Frost Institute for Chemical and Molecular Science
Coral Gables, FL
Sharpe Project Developments is proud to announce that we’ve been completed the development of the Frost Institute for Chemical and Molecular Science in October 2022. This new 94,000 SF laboratory building will be led by Dr. Mark Yeger, who’s staff will engage in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to help solve some of the world’s most important problems.
Designed by Harvard Jolly Architecture and being constructed by Skanska, this state-of-the-art science and engineering facility has an open design, with movable wet-lab benches and fixtures, allowing for the free flow of both ideas and people. The building is also designed to achieve a gold rating from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building certification program.
The project was made possible largely by long-time benefactors Phillip and Patricia Frost, who, in 2017, announced a $100M gift to create a multidisciplinary research hub focused on scientific discovery. We are grateful to have led such an important and impactful project for the Univeristy of Miami.
