Sharpe Project Developments is projected to complete an $8,000,000 restoration and renovation project for The Carlyle Condominiums Association in late 2024. The project includes major renovations to interior common areas, exterior common areas, pool deck, and seawall.
Interior renovations cover 15,000 SF of common areas, including the removal of asbestos, new paint, carpet, tile, and lighting on each floor. Life safety issues were addressed with a new partial fire sprinkler system and reinforced unit entries. Exterior renovations involved repairs to balconies, structural columns, and beams to address age-related damage and comply with SB4 and SIRS. Stucco deficiencies were repaired, and the building was repainted and waterproofed. Deteriorated balcony railings were replaced, and the pool and pool deck were repaired, waterproofed, and refinished.
The seawall replacement included a new 400-foot seawall and dock meeting current flood elevation standards for Broward County. Additionally, new landscaping and a BBQ deck were added to enhance amenities for residents.
