Sharpe Project Developments completed the renovation of a 150,000 SF industrial warehouse for Stryker in January 2020. The facility, originally developed and operating as a Class A industrial warehouse, was acquired by UBS Realty Investors and repurposed as an office and robotics facility.
The $22MM scope included numerous site improvements, such as the addition of 310 parking spaces and a significant 3,500 amp power increase to the facility. The project also required several new exterior windows to the side face of the building and the addition of two major entry features. Our team also had a narrow window of opportunity to complete these improvements, which added to the logistical complexity of the project.
Despite these challenges, we completed the new facility on time through dedicated efforts of RLC Architects, Miller Construction, Caulfield & Wheeler, and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, and Stryker’s presence has brought over 500 high-paying jobs to Broward County.
