Bacardi

Coral Gables, FL

Sharpe Project Developments completed the construction of a 200,000 SF headquarters for Bacardi in January 2010. This $23MM project consisted of eight stories of office space, common areas, and amenities, including a gymnasium, cafeteria, museum, and bar. The project was also the first LEED-certified interior office in the City of Coral Gables.

Initially, the client hired a large, multinational real estate firm to oversee the project. After three months, our team replaced this company due to lack of performance, budgetary overages, and delays. At this point, we worked with the landlord to accommodate our client’s space requirements and to ensure efficient delivery. Our firm also worked with Bacardi’s team to relocate over 300 employees from seven different offices to the new headquarters.

Our team successfully delivered this project through the dedicated efforts of HOK and Codina Partners. Ultimately, both the client and landlord were satisfied with the results, and the headquarters now proudly serves one of the oldest and most renowned spirits companies.
